Sonova USA Inc. in Valencia, CA, seeks a Senior Engineer, Systems - Embedded Electronics, to own system-level requirements and drive architecture from concept to validation. You will collaborate with Marketing, Project Management, and R&D to craft specifications and ensure robust, compliant designs.

The role demands hands-on expertise in analog/digital circuits, FPGA, DSP, RF, and embedded software. A hybrid schedule (3 days on site, 2 remote) is available with strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in analog/digital circuits, FPGA platforms, embedded systems, DSP, RF, or control systems; 7+ years in medical devices a plus.
• Strong collaboration and leadership across levels; able to mentor engineers and meet deadlines.
• Experience with embedded development on ASICs, test automation with Python, and IEC 60601-1 Class III standards.

Responsibilities

• Guide requirements with Marketing and R&D to generate product specs.
• Provide system-level view and drive tradeoffs in product development.
• Feasibility studies; propose components and solutions with modelling and implementation.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, Software, and Mechanical teams during integration.
• Define architectures for future products aligned to market needs.
• Develop broad understanding of product architecture and specialize in technical segments.
• Investigate field issues and run experiments to root cause issues quickly.
• Document work clearly to educate others and improve skills organization-wide.
• Share knowledge across the organization to raise overall capability.
