Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to support systems engineering, architecture development, and integration for complex Navy and DoD programs in San Diego. The role requires deep coordination of requirements, interfaces, and risks across stakeholders to ensure architectures align with mission objectives and program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience as a systems engineer or supporting systems engineering activities for complex software, hardware, network, or mission systems.
• Understanding of software architecture, requirements-driven design, test-driven development, and system integration concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate requirements, interfaces, architecture products, and technical risks across stakeholders.
• Apply systems engineering processes to support system and System of Systems requirements, design, analysis, verification, validation, and sustainment.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain as-is and to-be architectures for fielded and programmed capabilities.
• Support enterprise architecture development and integration with current engineering workflows.
• Provide input to software architecture, requirements-driven design, test/behavior-driven development, and platform parameters.
• Support SoS integration and capability analysis, including risk identification and architecture reviews.
• Coordinate with Navy platform organizations, program offices, and fleet stakeholders for roadmaps and documentation.
• Track cybersecurity implementation and RMF considerations across phases.
