Job summary

TCOM, headquartered in Columbia, MD, seeks an experienced engineer to independently design, develop, test, and implement engineering processes for complex projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a minimum of five years of experience, with potential for a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Contribute to system requirements, lead integrated product teams, and produce technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, testing and implementation of engineering processes, methods and products
• Works independently under light technical oversight on projects or subsystems
• Prepare major complex portions of written documentation including drawings, standards, specifications and manuals
• Assist in formulating systems requirements
• Lead cross-functional teams on assigned tasks
• Provide technical leadership within the section and guidance to junior engineers
• Plan and organize responsibilities for a broad spectrum of assignments
• Define and analyze technical requirements for assigned tasks
• Generate and evaluate design models using simulation tools
• Develop and maintain design guidelines and practices
• Support production, testing and field operations to improve designs
• Apply scientific principles to achieve practical end results
• Maintain engineering skills with advances in technology
• Handle multiple assignments with increasing responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned
