Job summary

TCOM, L.P. is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Application Engineer for their Columbia, MD HQ.

You will design and develop embedded software for airborne and ground-based systems, collaborating across hardware and software teams to ensure performance and reliability in mission-critical environments. Responsibilities include real-time software design, driver development, and system architecture contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• Typically 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and high-reliability systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software applications for near-real-time systems.
• Develop drivers, interfaces, and control logic for sensors and onboard systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and embedded feature design.
• Write efficient, reliable code for resource-constrained environments.
• Debug, integrate, test, and validate embedded systems.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
