Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Product Line Systems Engineer for the Open Platforms Applications Software department. You will work in a hybrid role with cross-functional engineers in an AGILE environment to design and develop software-only products.

The role focuses on systems technical aspects of software development across the product lifecycle, from bid and proposal to certification and support.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience in software integration and testing at the system level.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate time management; work unsupervised, multi-task, coordinate work.
• Craft operational plans and phased execution strategies to optimize daily workflows and scale production.
• Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team across time zones and cultures to drive unified project goals.
• Advance department initiatives by building interactive prototypes and demonstrations that showcase new concepts and capabilities.
• Mentor team in development of functional, interface and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation.
