Job summary

SAIC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Navy CPS program, providing independent review of architecture, interfaces, and requirements delivered by the LSI. You will evaluate completeness, consistency, traceability, and technical adequacy of LSI deliverables and prepare actionable comments for Government decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
• PhD with 0 years related experience.
• Experience with hypersonic or Navy weapon system programs (desired).

Responsibilities

• Review and assess LSI system architecture products and MBSE artifacts.
• Evaluate ICDs, IRSs, and IDD for completeness and compatibility.
• Analyze specifications for clarity and traceability to higher requirements.
• Prepare comments using CRM and support resolution meetings.
• Identify technical risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support government preparation for SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR reviews.
• Assess verification approaches and VCRM.
• Support configuration management and ECP reviews.
• Participate in ICWGs and other technical groups.
• Prepare briefings and assessment summaries for leadership.
• Collaborate with government leads, contractors, and LSI staff.
