Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead requirements development, architectures, and MBSE across border and force protection programs. The role emphasizes system integration, verification planning, and customer collaboration to ensure performance and schedule adherence.

The candidate will mentor engineers, coordinate with multiple defense units, and support proposals and cost estimates while traveling domestically and internationally as needed. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in electrical/electro‑optical/mechanical or software engineering.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with DoD or defense domains.
• Experience with concept development, requirements, and architecture design.

Responsibilities

• Review and document system level requirements, CONOPS and mission statements.
• Develop technical documents, specifications, and standards.
• Perform requirements management and allocations on complex designs.
• Document designs, results, and presentations clearly to stakeholders.
• Define architectures meeting technical, cost and schedule goals.
• Lead System Development using Model Based Systems Engineering.
• Execute trade studies to select optimal design approaches.
• Develop architectures and designs for system performance and reliability.
• Lead customer interactions to capture Voice of the Customer.
• Support proposal development including cost estimates and presentations.
• Drive system integration and prototype evaluation.
• Plan verification and validation activities for complex systems.
