Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the C3BM division at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. This 100% onsite, full-time role focuses on architecture, integration, and test activities across the DoD Battle Network with an emphasis on ICAM and Mission Integration.

The candidate should bring extensive DoD/USAF acquisition experience, systems engineering across lifecycle, and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams while communicating complex concepts to leadership.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree and 20+ years of experience with 12+ years of DoW related experience.
• Technical Skills across the DoD/USAF acquisition lifecycle.
• System-of-Systems Architecture Development and Enterprise Architecture requirements.
• Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM).
• Risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Cloud-based systems management and cost/performance projection.
• Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles.
• Experience with DoD/USAF acquisition processes (DoWI 5000.02/5000.75).
• Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis.
• Technical documentation and executive brief development.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle.
• Translate operational requirements into technical requirements for MIT activities.
• Contribute to architecture definition and interoperability across the DoD Battle Network.
• Review and evolve DoW architecture models for future-state architectures.
• Assess risks and support mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
• Develop execution management strategies and transition requirements with the acquisition community.
• Draft technical briefings and acquisition artifacts for Government leadership.
• Engage with joint and coalition stakeholders on multi-domain architectures.
