Job summary

Canvas is seeking a senior systems engineer to provide expert design, development, integration, and lifecycle support for range systems, instrumentation, interfaces, and information architectures at Eglin AFB.

Qualifications

• Recognized industry level expertise in systems engineering, cybersecurity, IM/IT architecture, range systems, or similar domains.
• Ability to independently lead mission critical engineering or cybersecurity activities and advise leadership on complex issues.
• Expert knowledge of DoD and Air Force cybersecurity requirements (RMF, JSIG, certification, accreditation).

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level system engineering expertise across design, development, integration, and lifecycle support for range systems and information architectures.
• Lead cybersecurity and information assurance efforts including RMF/JSIG compliance, vulnerability analysis, certification, and continuous monitoring.
• Support acquisition project management through PWSs, RFPs, CDRLs, and program documentation in line with Air Force guidance.
• Perform analyses for range systems interoperability; define requirements for frequency scheduling, software modules, and C2/test range networks.
• Lead development of technical docs, test plans, and program execution tracking with government and contractor teams.
