Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for the Navy Key Management portfolio in the INTEL Sector. The role requires leading system engineering activities, developing architectures, and collaborating with customer POCs to ensure requirements are met.

The candidate must have 8+ years of SE experience, a Secret DoD clearance, and familiarity with ML/DB concepts, Linux/UNIX, and Agile practices. On-site work with some telework is possible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• US citizenship and active Secret DoD security clearance.
• Model-based systems engineering experience.
• Experience with database management software (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and Agile methodologies.
• DoD 8570 approved Security+ certification (required within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering, hardware and software analysis for the Navy Key Management portfolio.
• Define and apply SE processes to meet customer requirements.
• Manage requirements decomposition, allocation, verification and validation.
• Develop System Architecture, CONOPS and use-case scenarios.
• Engage in customer meetings and technical interchange activities.
• Produce technical documentation including manuals, specs and data sheets.
• Possibility to work a 9/80 schedule and travel to customer facilities up to 5 days a week with some teleworking.
