Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Core Libraries team. You will design, build, extend, and maintain shared Windows, Linux, and macOS libraries used by the sensor.

Expect end-to-end ownership, cross-organizational collaboration, and opportunities to mentor colleagues across CrowdStrike. Your work will emphasize reliability, portability, and high-quality library design, contributing to a scalable endpoint security platform and an AI-enabled security stack.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in systems software engineering; hands-on experience in C and C++ in a low-level systems context.
• Ability to reason about reliability and correctness for software that runs at endpoint fleet scale.
• Cross-platform exposure across Windows, Linux, and/or macOS; portability and platform constraints awareness.

Responsibilities

• Gather library requirements, design, implement, and test libraries across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Take end-to-end ownership from design through production validation including testing and rollback.
• Lead design reviews and provide feedback to raise team quality and consistency.
• Communicate tradeoffs and risks to engineering, product, and program partners; plan and scope work with dependencies.
• Mentor junior engineers through feedback, pairing, and code/design reviews.
• Investigate production incidents and complex escalations; build knowledge of fleet-scale failure modes.
• Champion improvements in end-to-end testing and validation for high-reliability components.
