Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks a Mid/Journeyman to Senior Systems Engineer in Washington, DC to support the CPS program of record for the Navy. You will collaborate with engineers and government teams, performing design studies, risk analyses, and technical advisement across multiple disciplines.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, and proficiency with MS Office. Occasional telework is allowed, with on-site duties at the DC Navy Yard.

Qualifications

  • Mid/Journeyman requires a bachelor’s degree or 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Senior level requires 11 years with a bachelor’s or 10 years with a master’s.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Design studies and evaluations for research, development, production and operations.
  • Review and provide technical advice on CPS-related documentation submissions.
  • Provide program engineering support for problem definition, analysis, and requirement allocation.
  • Assess systems and propose improvements, optimization or new approaches.
  • Perform risk assessments using modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Identify, track, and resolve engineering issues across interfaces and design changes.
  • Prepare technical presentations and papers for design reviews and boards.
  • Collaborate with CPS stakeholders including government teams and AHPO.
  • Identify technical issues and facilitate timely decisions and design adjudication.
  • Develop mitigation plans for cost, schedule and technical risks.
