Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Core Libraries team to design, build, and maintain shared Windows, Linux, and macOS libraries that power the CrowdStrike sensor. You will own end-to-end library development, from design through production validation, and collaborate with sensor developers across the company.

The role requires a strong foundation in C/C++ systems software, cross-platform experience, and the ability to mentor others while handling production incidents at fleet scale.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in systems software engineering; hands-on experience in C and C++ in a low-level systems context.
• Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain cross-platform libraries across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience in driving design docs, reviews, and cross-team collaboration.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and handle production incidents at fleet scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, extend, and maintain shared libraries used by the sensor across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Take end-to-end ownership from design to production validation including testing and rollback stories.
• Lead design reviews and communicate tradeoffs and risks to engineering, product, and program partners.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers through feedback, pairing, and code/design reviews.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and contribute to end-to-end testing improvements.
