Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a systems software engineer to build cross-platform API components for the CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor across Windows, Linux, and macOS. You will contribute to shared on-sensor ML inference infrastructure and ensure API contracts are robust and portable.

You will work with sensor teams, participate in reviews, and investigate failures to maintain high reliability for global-scale security software.

• Strong foundation in systems software with hands-on C/C++ in low-level contexts.
• Cross-platform experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS with portability concerns.
• Clear API design instincts and ABI stability considerations.
• Ability to own ambiguous technical problems and drive them to resolution.
• Collaborative and clear communicator across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cross-platform API components and abstractions; own features across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Contribute to shared on-sensor ML inference infrastructure and related components.
• Reason about API contracts, interface clarity, ABI stability, and breaking changes cost.
• Collaborate with Mac, Linux, and Windows sensor teams to evolve the API surface.
• Participate in design and code reviews to improve quality and reliability.
• Investigate failures and production incidents across the API and inference boundary.
