Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage the organization's systems infrastructure, including AD/IDM and cloud services. You will monitor performance, implement upgrades, and collaborate with architects across on-site facilities to ensure reliable, secure operations.

Responsibilities include administering identity platforms, supporting users, and maintaining documentation while staying current with technology trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)
• Knowledge of storage architecture and virtualization
• Ability to work cross-functionally and document architecture decisions

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems infrastructure (hardware and software)
• Monitor system performance and recommend changes/upgrades
• Perform system maintenance and upgrades
• Collaborate with Technical Architects on system designs
• Assist administrators with infrastructure implementations
• Provide user support for OD systems
• Assist with server hardware and software solutions across platforms
• Troubleshoot and diagnose enterprise system issues
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends
• Administer Active Directory environments
• Manage and support Okta Identity Cloud and Google Cloud IAM
• Administer AWS IAM users and access controls
• Enforce IAM security standards and best practices
• Assist remediation of security findings related to identity platforms
