Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain the company’s systems infrastructure, including hardware and software. You will review documents, implement solutions, and collaborate with Architects to design robust IT solutions.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least five years of server technology experience are required. OD offers comprehensive benefits, a strong family culture, and opportunities for growth within a national LTL

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong reasoning, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
• Experience with storage architecture and virtualization.
• Ability to understand cross-functional/cross-domain requirements.
• Experience using Visio or similar documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems infrastructure including hardware and software.
• Monitor systems performance and recommend changes and upgrades based on utilization.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to systems.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to assist with systems design.
• Assist in implementing systems infrastructure for OD users.
• Administer and support IAM services (Active Directory, Okta, AWS/GCP IAM).
• Provide troubleshooting for enterprise systems issues.
• Maintain knowledge of current technologies and trends related to architectural solutions.
