Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer 3 (Afloat) for its Norfolk, VA government customer. The role is onsite and requires an active Top Secret clearance. You will serve as a Senior Technical Advisor to Strike Group staff N6, supporting C4ISR, RF, and IT systems and guiding tech insertions.

The position calls for hands-on troubleshooting, end-to-end connectivity across multiple sites, and mentoring of technicians aboard ships and onshore facilities. Availability for deployments and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Information Technology or equivalent technical degree, or 8+ years of related experience.
• 6+ years of DoD enterprise or Navy networks experience preferred.
• 6+ years of troubleshooting networks and OS issues across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as Senior Technical Advisor to Strike Group Staff N6 and assist in troubleshooting C4ISR issues.
• Coordinate with shipboard technicians, ISEA, RMC, installation engineers for end-to-end connectivity.
• Document issues and resolutions using status reports and after-action reports; provide reports as directed.
• Provide OJT on systems for shipboard and shore technicians; mentor personnel if needed.
• Assist with System Operation and Verification Testing (SOVT) and prep for inspections.
