Job summary

V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 (Afloat) to support a Norfolk, VA government customer. The role requires onsite work and an active Top Secret clearance.

You will serve as a Senior Technical Advisor for C4ISR, RF, and IT systems, guiding shipboard deployments and providing end-to-end technical support across multiple platforms while coordinating with Navy staff. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, mentoring technicians, documenting resolutions, and training shipboard personnel.

Qualifications

• BS in Information Technology (or equivalent) or 8+ years of technical experience.
• 6+ years of experience with DoD enterprise or Navy networks.
• 6+ years of experience troubleshooting networks and operating systems across multiple systems.
• IAT2 certifications required for IA (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Windows Server, Cisco and VMware certifications highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Act as Senior Technical Advisor to Strike Group Staff N6; advise on C4ISR deployments and optimization.
• Coordinate end-to-end connectivity for IT and RF across shipboard and shore sites to meet C4ISR requirements.
• Document issues and resolutions using INTELSHARE FSET Status Reports and after action reports.
• Provide OJT on systems for shipboard and shore technicians.
• Assist shipboard technicians in preparation for inspections and System Operation and Verification Testing (SOVT).
• Capable of working independently in a high tempo environment; willing to travel 8–12 weeks durations.
