Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer III to lead technical execution across multiple military aviation programs, spanning rotary-wing and fixed-wing platforms.

You will interface with customers, lead IPTs, and steer SRR, PDR, and CDR while coordinating architecture, risk, scheduling, and V&V planning. The role requires extensive defense-sector experience, leadership in multidisciplinary teams, and a strong background in MBSE using Cameo and 3DExperience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of progressive systems engineering experience in the military aerospace or defense industry.
• Experience leading IPTs and presenting complex engineering data directly to military customers.
• Background supporting rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft development or modification programs.
• Experience in hardware-in-the-loop testing, system integration labs, and formal qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interface: Serve as the principal technical point of contact for military customers, sub-contractors, and external stakeholders.
• IPT Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to drive technical execution and program alignment.
• Design Reviews: Plan, lead, and execute SRR, PDR, and CDR milestones.
• Multi-Program Leadership: Manage systems engineering execution across multiple concurrent programs.
• Architecture & Digital Engineering: Define robust architectures using Cameo and 3DExperience.
• Requirements & Risk: Oversee decomposition, traceability, and validation of complex requirements.
• Lifecycle Testing: Drive V&V planning, test case definition, and data analysis.
• Cross-Functional Interface: Bridge engineering, program management, quality, and operations.
