Job summary

May Mobility is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to act as the integrating function across multi-disciplinary teams developing the Next Gen Autonomous Driving Kit. You will ensure software, hardware, and product targets stay aligned, produce polished requirements, and negotiate trade-offs across the development lifecycle, including with OEM partners.

You will own systems integration and validation activities, create verification metrics, and maintain specifications for collaboration with OEMs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in automotive engineering involving software, hardware, or combined hardware/software products.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Experience integrating and validating hardware/software systems at vehicle/platform level.
  • Experience with OEM platform programs or OEM partners.
  • Knowledge of automotive tech such as LIDAR, radar, ethernet, CAN.
  • Experience with requirements management tooling and design.
  • Experience in Autonomous Vehicles, ML, Robotics, IoT, or mobile apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system-level understanding to support cross-functional engineering efforts.
  • Serve as the binding agent across multi-disciplinary teams to align software, hardware, and product targets.
  • Own system integration and validation to ensure platform performs as designed.
  • Define and develop metrics to verify system and subsystem requirements.
  • Create and maintain polished requirements specifications for OEM collaboration.
  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve cross-functional trade-offs across the development process.
  • Streamline interfaces between system architects, controls, and OEM partners.
  • Evaluate industry and regulatory requirements for May Mobility products.
  • Perform FMEA analyses and track findings to resolution.
  • Follow safe work procedures and travel as needed.
