Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a System Engineer III to support the Aircrew Training System (ATS) and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) programs. You will perform systems engineering, project engineering, subcontractor management, modification design, logistics engineering and proposal estimation tasks.

The role requires eight years of relevant experience with DoD engineering standards and the ability to travel to customer sites for testing and reviews.

Qualifications

  • Eight years of aircrew training system or flight simulation device experience with DoD standards.
  • Experience in lifecycle engineering activities: requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test and delivery.
  • Experience coordinating with customers to gain system acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical requirements and develop specifications and Statements of Work for ATS/CLS components.
  • Review and edit Statements of Work, Specifications, and technical documents.
  • Support program management and logistics via analyses and trade studies.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and technical text for ATS, CLS proposals, ECPs, ACSNs, CCPs, and New Business proposals.
  • Assist in subcontractor/vendor design reviews and audits; may direct subcontractor personnel.
  • Participate as a presenter/technical advisor in customer meetings and program reviews.
  • Prepare subcontractor/vendor specifications and SOWs for RFPs and subcontracts; perform evaluations of proposals.
  • Experience with subcontractor management, schedule, deliverables, and QA steps is desirable.
  • Travel to witness acceptance testing events and ATS/subcontractor sites as needed.
