Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a System Engineer III to support Aircrew Training System (ATS) and CLS programs, handling systems engineering, project engineering, subcontractor management, and proposal work. The role involves cost estimation, technical writing, and participation in customer reviews and audits.

Qualifications include eight years in aircrew training or flight-simulation projects, a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or four years of equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience with aircrew training systems or flight simulators is preferred.
  • DOD lifecycle engineering concepts and requirements analysis experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and develop specs/SOWs for ATS/CLS components.
  • Review and edit SOWs, specs, and technical documents.
  • Support management and logistics with analyses and trade studies.
  • Assist in cost estimates and technical narratives for proposals and CCPs.
  • Conduct subcontractor/vendor evaluations and support audits.
  • Present as a technical advisor in customer engagements and reviews.
  • Develop SOWs for RFPs and subcontracts and assess proposals.
  • Travel to witness acceptance testing and support ATS/CLS sites.
