Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a System Engineer III to support Aircrew Training System (ATS) and CLS programs. The role involves systems engineering, project engineering, and subcontractor management, with cost estimation and proposal preparation duties.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in DoD-related life-cycle engineering, requirements analysis, and the ability to travel to customer sites for acceptance testing and audits.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with others without constant direct supervision.
  • Experience with subcontractor management, scheduling, deliveries and reviews.
  • Eligibility to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and develop specifications and SOWs for ATS/CLS components.
  • Review and edit SOWs, specifications and technical documents.
  • Support program management and logistics analyses and trade studies.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and technical text for ATS/CLS proposals and related documents.
  • Lead or direct subcontractor personnel for performance analysis and reviews.
  • Participate as a presenter or technical advisor in customer meetings and program reviews.
  • Prepare subcontractor specifications and SOWs for RFPs and subcontracts; evaluate proposals.
