Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for the Air Traffic Solutions team in Marlborough, MA. The role focuses on modernizing Air Traffic Control RADAR systems, delivering innovative engineering solutions, and ensuring safety and performance in NAS and international programs.

You will work on requirements, verification, and system integration, traveling as needed, with opportunities to become a Subject Matter Expert within the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under these programs/contracts.
• Must be able to obtain FAA and/or DoD clearance (FAA clearance and/or DoD Secret clearance).
• Experience in design, integration and test of complex systems.
• Experience generating technical documentation and facilitating briefings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience planning, developing and executing system/subsystem integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Join a Systems Engineering team modernizing Air Traffic Control RADAR systems in NAS and internationally.
• Develop innovative solutions and craft system and product-level requirements.
• Verify requirements by developing sell-off criteria ensuring performance and safety.
• Impact modernization and deployment of Air Traffic Control RADAR systems in US and globally.
• Develop solutions to modernize and integrate multiplatform air traffic systems.
• Grow into SME and advisor to the Systems Engineering team.
