Job summary

AIS is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Houston, TX IT team. You will participate in the delivery, implementation, and maintenance of system and network solutions to support continuous operations.

Responsibilities include design, deployment, and monitoring of LAN/WAN, VMware, on-site servers, and security controls; on-call support in a 24x7 environment; and collaboration with a cross-functional IT team to ensure availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years IT experience
• Experience with Windows servers, networking, and data centers
• Vendor management experience
• Must pass a 10-year background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) and VLAN routing/switching.
• Configure and manage servers, SANs, VMware, and Site Recovery/Replication environments.
• Administer SonicWall firewalls, ZTNA, VPNs, and security controls.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 end-user support and maintain technical documentation.
• Availability for 24×7 on-call support and off-hour maintenance.
