AECOM in the UK is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team across rail projects. You will lead safety engineers and drive activities from feasibility through detailed design, ensuring robust safety and interoperability.
You will develop system definitions, manage requirements and architectures, coordinate with clients, and deliver high‑quality technical output.

We are currently searching for a Senior Rail Systems Engineer to come and join us here at AECOM in one of our offices in the UK and focus on the rail projects as part of the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team.
AECOM holds extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation systems — as well as restoring and replacing aging infrastructure— to help our public and private clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people across cities, countries and continents.
Ideally, you are an established railway systems safety professional and have experience of leading a team of safety engineering professionals.
Each team member has a development plan to provide a clear pathway to personal development and career progression. The team provides technical leadership of projects throughout the infrastructure lifecycle from feasibility, preliminary and detailed stage designs. Our clients are many and varied from both the private and public sector and include the major custodians of the UK’s rail network, numerous local authorities, and major Contractors.
