Job summary

Grex Defense, Inc. seeks a senior systems engineer to own the architecture tying airframe, autonomy, propulsion, and payload into a single, coherent vehicle.

You will define the technical architecture across disciplines—from concept through flight test—and trade requirements to keep the system coherent. This hands-on, small-team role requires proven systems engineering on aircraft or complex electromechanical systems, strong interface management, and the ability to lead architecture end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture across air vehicle disciplines—from concept through flight test.

Own the architecture that ties airframe, autonomy, propulsion, and payload into one dependable machine.

You'll define and hold the technical architecture across disciplines — deriving requirements, managing interfaces, and making the trades that keep a complex air vehicle coherent from concept through flight test.

A senior, hands-on role for someone who has taken air vehicles or complex electromechanical systems through the full lifecycle and can lead without a large staff.

What we look for:

• Proven systems engineering on aircraft, UAS, or complex electromechanical systems
• Fluency in requirements, interfaces, and cross-discipline trades
• Comfort owning architecture end to end on a small, fast team
• U.S. person status (ITAR/EAR) required
• Eligible to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
• Active security clearance preferred
