Job summary

Heartland Business Systems, LLC. in Wisconsin seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support client systems while building strong relationships to translate business needs into solid technical solutions.

You will lead cross‑team collaboration, document projects, maintain certifications, and help ensure service quality while meeting billable targets. You’ll work with Azure services and Microsoft enterprise products in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical related field.
• Experience designing and architecting Microsoft Azure solutions including Azure AD, Intune, and cloud recovery services.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent (or relevant) certifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least one or more CCNP, MCA, CCA-V, VCP.
• Experience designing and architecting systems-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Microsoft enterprise products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute as a member of the HBS Systems team to provide consultative and proactive project support.
• Collaborate across internal teams to ensure successful delivery and timely execution of the scope of work.
• Research new products, enhance configuration standards and educate team members to improve the sales process.
• Provide senior level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks.
• Maintain a positive team atmosphere across regional and virtual practices while remaining professional.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation for future estimates and scopes.
• Obtain and maintain current vendor/industry certifications and stay current on new products.
• Meet annual billable hour goal as defined by HBS.

Description

The Senior Systems Engineer will develop, implement, and support systems related services and solutions for consulting clients. This position will build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

• Work as a member of the HBS Systems team as a leader and contributor that provides consultative and proactive project support to HBS’s account base.
• Collaborate and be a leader across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery and timely execution of the scope of work.
• Research new products for selection, enhance configuration standards and best practices and educate team members on these products and services to enhance the sales process.
• Provide senior level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks and review for other potential concerns or enhancement opportunities.
• Work in and always model a positive team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of past projects to potentially provide time estimates and project scopes for new related projects.
• Obtain and maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions by utilizing networks of resources.
• Meet annual billable hour goal, as defined by HBS. This number may change over time as the business evolves.

Requirements
