Job summary

31st Union in California is seeking a Senior Systems Designer to drive features for our online multiplayer games. You will partner with cross-functional teams to shape player growth, rewards, and progression, and contribute to in-engine implementation and design documentation.

You bring strong Unreal Engine expertise, Blueprint scripting, and experience designing reward loops and economy systems for released titles.

Qualifications

Experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprint visual scripting.
Proven track record designing gameplay features for multiplayer games.
Strong ability to design economy loops and player-driven progression.
Quantitative and analytical skills for modeling and validating design decisions.

Responsibilities

Drive a small portfolio of complex features from concept to in-engine implementation.
Respond quickly to feedback with stable updates and rapid iteration.
Provide design leadership within your feature area and mentor others.
Source ideas across the studio and translate them into concrete design proposals.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align on goals, tradeoffs, and dependencies.
Share best practices and techniques to improve overall player experience.
