Job summary

2K in California is seeking a Lead Designer to guide a feature team and shape the future of online multiplayer games. You will set scope, objectives, and drive design quality across disciplines, aligning gameplay with our AAA standards.

Candidates bring 8+ years in game design, live-service experience, multiplayer systems leadership, and strong collaboration. Proficiency with Unreal Engine and scripting is a plus; compensation includes bonus/equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional game design experience.
• Live-service game or live systems background from development through launch.
• Proven experience designing and leading multiplayer features.
• Theory crafting to design depth and multiplayer gameplay.
• Cross-disciplinary understanding (UI, Art, Engineering, Audio, VFX).
• Proactive, able to filter feedback into actionable improvements.
• Adept at tradeoffs and strong pattern-based design.

Responsibilities
