Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Grayling, Michigan is seeking experienced Senior Assemblers to join our production team. You will assemble munitions, operate automated equipment, and participate in advanced training within a state-of-the-art facility.

You must have a High School Diploma and 4+ years in mechanics or mechanical assembly, with proven ability to read work instructions, follow safety procedures, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in mechanics, mechanical assembly, or a related field.
• Experience operating automated equipment and understanding manufacturing workflows in a team-based environment.
• Ability to operate automated equipment while optimizing assembly processes for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions.
• Implement the requirements in daily ways of working in a team-based environment.
• Understand and adhere to ESD control procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Understand and adhere to Explosive Safety control procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Support daily continuous improvement highlighting opportunities in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Ability to complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Sign off when work is complete according to specification.
• Support training and transfer of knowledge to new employees.
