Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Grayling, MI is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead daily munitions assembly operations and act as the liaison between manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, facilities, safety, and quality on-site.

The role requires strong supervisory experience in production, proficiency with MES/ERP and MS Office, and a track record of improving safety, quality, and productivity. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and security clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in a munitions manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in advanced manufacturing, Aeronautics, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily munitions assembly operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Communicate daily production objectives, priorities, and performance expectations to the production team.
• Monitor production activities and provide regular updates on operational performance to management.
• Ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing processes while optimizing productivity and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance management.
