Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Grayling, Michigan is seeking an Associate Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble precision munitions and contribute to refining our state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to meet quality standards.

The role requires reading work instructions and drawings, using hand tools, and performing testing and sign-off as per specifications. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required, in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year or less of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to execute the appropriate working methods and select the correct hand tools to achieve quality and efficiency.
• Ability to work with standardized procedures for high repeatability in an advanced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions in a team-based environment.
• Understand and adhere to ESD control procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Understand and adhere to Explosive Safety control procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Support daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems and sign off when complete.
• Support training and transfer of knowledge to new employees.
• Contribute to a positive work environment aligned with company values.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekend overtime when required.
