Job summary

Starkey Hearing in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a Principal Audio Systems Design Engineer to lead cross-functional audio-system architecture for advanced hearing solutions. You will shape technical strategy, own system-level decisions, and mentor engineering teams to deliver clinically effective, patient-centered products.

The role requires senior technical leadership with 15+ years in audio/embedded systems, extensive tradeoffs experience, and strong collaboration with audiology and product teams.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of professional experience with Bachelor's degree in a product/technology environment.
Minimum of 13 years of professional experience with a Master's degree in a product/technology environment.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic vision and technical leadership for audio-system architecture across hearing aids and tools.
Lead cross-functional architecture tradeoffs across DSP, hardware, firmware, and fitting software.
Own system-level analyses and risk management for product changes and design reviews.
Mentor engineers and grow cross-functional understanding of system-level audio design.
