Job summary

ATSC is seeking a Principal Systems Architect – C5ISR in Gilbert, AZ, to lead architecture, integration, testing, and execution of advanced C4ISR/C5ISR and Counter-UAS systems. You will translate customer mission needs into scalable designs across sensors, networking, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and edge computing.

The role collaborates with engineering, Program Managers, Business Development, and partners from concept through deployment, including field trials and customer acceptance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience architecting and integrating complex defense/C4ISR/C5ISR systems.
• Experience translating mission needs into top-level architectures and designs.
• Experience taking hardware/software systems from concept through deployment and acceptance.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, sensors, networking, and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system architecture and provide hands-on technical direction across multidisciplinary teams.
• Define system components, interfaces, and architecture roadmaps; assess tradeoffs.
• Translate customer requirements into system designs, specs, and traceable requirements.
• Guide system integration, verification, testing, and customer acceptance activities.
• Manage interfaces, dependencies, and architectural risks using MBSE practices.
