Job summary

Strategic ACI is seeking an experienced Senior System Architect to provide technical leadership to mid-level and junior systems architects. The role focuses on designing and developing architectures for complex applications with attention to API design, data services, platform services, cloud, and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with enterprise requirements.

You will guide architecture teams, analyze requirements, and evaluate system capabilities to inform design decisions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related STEM; or equivalent senior-level experience. 12 years can substitute for a degree.
• 12+ years of senior-level experience in EA, SA, DA, DoDAF, PAG across DoD/government or industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures with traceability to EA and requirements.
• Guide analysis of user requirements to identify automation or improvement opportunities for existing systems.
• Evaluate computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling constraints to inform architecture and design.
• Lead changes to solution architecture designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.

Strategic ACI is seeking an experienced Senior System Architect to provide technical leadership and guidance to Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in the design and development of solutions for complex application problems. This role will support API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services, ensuring solutions meet user requirements, align with strategic goals, and maintain traceability to the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures, ensuring traceability to the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.
• Evaluate computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to inform architecture and solution design.
• Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level Systems Architects in developing proposed changes to solution architecture designs based on analysis of requirements and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program, or equivalent senior-level experience as a Systems Architect.12 years of relevant working experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 12+ years of relevant, Senior-level working experience in government or industry in relevant areas, including:
  1. Enterprise Architecture
  2. Solution Architecture
  3. Data Architecture
  4. Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  5. Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)

Desired

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
• Federated Enterprise Architect certification, such as Certified Enterprise Architect.
• Working knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
• Knowledge of GEOINT collections (e.g., GIMS) and data management (e.g., NCL) workflows and systems.
• Knowledge of imagery products and associated standards.
• Working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Experience across the systems development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through testing and deployment.
