Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking a Senior-level System Architect to guide and mentor mid-level and junior architects in designing and developing complex solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture goals.

You will lead analyses of requirements, improve systems, and steer architecture changes leveraging MBSE and DoDAF practices. TS/SCI clearance is required plus a polygraph; remote work options are not specified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related STEM field or 12+ years of experience in Systems Architecture.
• 12+ years of experience in government or industry in EA/SA/DA/DoDAF/IC PAG.
• TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
• Master’s degree in CS/IT/MIS or related STEM degree.
• Working knowledge of MBSE, processes, tools and languages.
• Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect.

Responsibilities

• Guide Mid-Level and Junior-Level system architects in design, development, maintenance and documentation of solution architectures ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Guide Mid-level and Junior-level systems architects in developing proposed changes to the solutions architecture design based on analysis of requirements and new technology.

Senior-level System Architects guide Mid-Level and Junior-level system architects in the design and development of solutions for complex applications problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align to strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture.

Duties include:

• Guides Mid-Level and Junior-Level system architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Guides the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Guides Mid-level and Junior-level systems architects in the development of proposed changes to the solutions architecture design based on analysis of requirements and new technology.

Location: This position can be worked out of Springfield, VA; Chantilly, VA; or St. Louis, MO

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 12+ years of experience as a Systems Architect may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 12+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
• TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
