Basic Function

The Senior Systems Analyst-Programmerwill perform a variety of complex duties in the analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of the district’s administrative, data and instructional support systems. Provide district departments and personnel with information technology and procedural solutions to support specific functionality requirements.

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS

• Working Location: Integrated Technology Division 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103
• Work Schedule:12months per year /40hours per week.
• Salary: This position is paid on theOTBSSalary Schedule. Grade061.
• Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
• Vacancies thatrequirethe incumbent to be Bilingual will be noted.Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

Education and Experience

Any combination of education, experience, and/or training equivalent to graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or directly related field and four years of recent, progressively responsible experience in systems development and programming of major applications. Recent experience with and in-depth understanding of modern development platforms and enterprise-wide administrative and/or instructional support systems is required.
