Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Systems Analyst III to serve as an application specialist, developing and maintaining computer applications within the Research Information Systems department. The role supports integration across systems, collaborates with users and vendors, and ensures reliable, high-quality IT outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s degree recommended.
• 4 years of experience in related field required.
• Healthcare environment experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with users to provide a stable and reliable system and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Provides timely and courteous end user support.
• Acts as the second level of support for the applications assigned.
• Assists trainers in the development of training material related to supported applications.
• Performs in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of complex system issues and uses critical thinking and resources to solve application issues.
• Analyzes and tests new functionality in releases to determine application viability and integrity.
• Provides regular maintenance to navigators, flow sheets, and all other application components.
• Maintains appropriate system documentation and audits.
• Provides on-site and phone support as necessary.
• Adheres to change control process.
• Communicates with customers, peers, and supervisors to provide status of current projects or problems.
• Attends meetings to support application progress and organizational goals.
• Assists vendors and 3rd party resources with needs related to supported applications.
• Leads meetings with subject matter experts and others, to develop and build material and support application.
• Develops testing plans, and assists in organizing application related testing.
• May require valid driver’s license and insurance if role requires.
• May require maintenance of inventory records pertaining to equipment location, repair and maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
