Santa Fe County NM seeks an experienced IT professional to lead and support system development, testing, and deployment. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale software applications and database architectures.

The ideal candidate has strong skills in SQL development, database tuning, and disaster recovery planning, with experience mentoring members of the IT Division. This is an on-site position with competitive county benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related field; and
• Six (6) years of relevant work experience in software development and support.
• Combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree/experience requirement.
• Experience substitutions: 30 semester hours = 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates and leads development and implementation of systems; plans and directs project activities.
• Designs forms, reports, and documentation; completes system design and related documentation.
• Develops, debugs, and modifies existing applications; designs and configures database architecture.
• Oversees application security, validation, and implementation; mentors IT Division members.
