Job summary
Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide senior server and applications expertise within the District Technology team. The role covers administering Windows/VMware infrastructure, AD/Entra environments, virtualization hosts, storage, and related servers in a multi-platform setup.
The position leads the desktop support team for complex issues and requires strong problem-solving, collaboration, and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in an accredited technology/network administration program plus five years experience in a large multi-platform environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Entra, Windows Server, SAN, backup, IP management, and network security.
Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance and security of all servers and applications across the network for high availability.
- Lead desktop support team for advanced technical issues and imaging processes.
- Manage Entra/Active Directory environments and cloud applications; script changes with PowerShell.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and maintenance; document key systems and services.
- Collaborate with staff to design and deploy backup and storage systems; ensure data protection.
