Job summary

TransCore, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, in Houston, Texas, seeks a Sr. Systems Administrator (Finance) to provide day-to-day advanced technical support for existing customer installations and new deployments of proprietary multi-server tolling applications.

Qualifications

Deep expertise in Windows environments including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Strong scripting and PowerShell proficiency.
15 years of Systems Administrator experience.
Experience with Hyper-V virtualization in a failover cluster.
Experience with Dell Storage and Microsoft Failover Clusters.
Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, Palo Alto, Cisco.
Experience troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 or higher.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee servers, storage, networks, and databases to maintain high availability.
Provide troubleshooting and repair for moderate network solutions.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Enforce security policies and apply controls to protect systems and data.
Monitor system health and respond to alerts to prevent outages.
Lead infrastructure projects and migrations with minimal business impact.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration records.
Mentor junior administrators and manage vendor relations.
