Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The role focuses on delivering information security solutions, systems design, and secure data flows for a National Security program.

You will work on enterprise-level security services, perform vulnerability assessments, and support complex integration across servers and applications, with responsibilities including architecture considerations and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 15+ years of System Administrator experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (5 years with BS substituted).
• Experience in Linux environments is required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork including weekends.
• Working knowledge of system administration interdependencies as part of the SOA.
• Experience with Ubuntu and RHEL8.
• DOD 8570 compliance with minimum IAT Level 2.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems with server hardware, applications and software integration.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a BS degree, totaling 20 years of SA experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Linux environments is required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork as needed, including weekend support, is required.
• Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with Ubuntu and RHEL8.
