Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Administrator (or Principal) to join our Systems Engineering Organization on-site at Whidbey Island, WA. The role involves Windows/VMware and Linux/Redhat administration for a classified government contract, with travel up to 25% and potential 12-hour shifts.

The candidate must hold a TS clearance with SCI and have experience with Windows Server, VMware, Linux, and security certifications. Lifting up to 40 pounds and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related professional or military Systems Administration experience, or equivalent.
• Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or ability to obtain per program requirements.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed.
• DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Windows/VMware System Administrator for a classified government contract.
• Perform as a Linux/Redhat System Administrator for a classified government contract.
• Maintain secure, multi-user computers and coordinate with engineers and end users.
• Document processes and troubleshoot issues; ensure compliance with security guidelines.
