Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for a 100% onsite role in McKinney, Texas. The position requires an active secret clearance and US citizenship, with eligibility to access classified programs.

You will deliver IT systems administration across Windows and Linux environments, collaborate with cybersecurity, and support 24x7 operations with occasional travel. Travel is part of the role and the position is 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have Windows or Linux experience
• Experience in one of the following: Linux/RHEL administration, Active Directory and Windows Domain administration, MECM, VMware, and recovery enterprise suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understand Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment and resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Document and train others on advanced IT processes and procedures.
