Job summary

Invictus International Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to remotely manage and secure our virtualization and UCS infrastructure.

You will administer Cisco UCS domains, VMware vSphere/VCF, vSAN, NSX-T, and perform DR testing, patching, and STIG hardening.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience, Security+ or higher, VCP preferred, and strong scripting skills in PowerShell/PowerCLI/Python.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on Cisco UCS and VMware vSphere/VCF administration.
• Security+ or higher certification required; VCP preferred.
• Experience with vSAN, NSX-T and software-defined data centers.
• Strong virtualization and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hardware lifecycle management and storage integration knowledge.
• Familiarity with change-management and security approvals.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Cisco UCS domains, fabric interconnects, chassis, and blades.
• Manage and upgrade VMware vSphere/VCF components including ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
• Design and implement virtualization policies in line with classification rules.
• Perform regular health checks and performance monitoring of UCS/VMware.
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and maintain documentation.
• Manage server profiles, templates, and firmware updates for UCS.
• Apply patches and updates following change-management and security approvals.
• Harden infrastructure according to DISA STIGs and STIG guides.
• Monitor environment using vRealize Operations and Intersight.
• Manage RBAC and audit logging for VMware and UCS.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis.
• Produce capacity, performance, and compliance reports.
• Participate in DR exercises and update SOPs and diagrams.
