Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support NIWC Pacific’s Naval Messaging CB ISEA in San Diego, onsite at NIWC PAC. The role covers system analysis, engineering, and cybersecurity hardening with virtualization expertise and MS environments.

Requirements include a U.S. citizenship, active Top Secret clearance to start, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Travel up to 25% and strong communication skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of systems administration experience in defense or government environments.
• Active Top Secret clearance to start or ability to obtain.
• Experience with security requirements and STIGs in DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis and engineering for system architecture and network design.
• Provide systems administration expertise in development and deployment planning.
• Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades for OS and layered packages.
• Maintain and document lab systems and provide status updates to customer.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance messaging systems.
