Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced IT/DevOps engineer to support Lunar network, IT, and communications infrastructure for lunar landers. You will work on hardware-in-the-loop integration and mission operations, ensuring prompt and effective technology support for internal customers building, launching, and operating lunar vehicles.

The role requires hands-on IT expertise, leadership, and a passion for safe, repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree or equivalent practical experience in information systems or computer science.
6+ years of professional IT experience.
Experience in Linux and Windows server/desktop environments.
Proficient with standard network protocols (DHCP, DNS, NPS, SQL, SMTP, NFS).
Experience writing technical documentation and procedures.
Experience managing Active Directory and automation.
Hardware troubleshooting and server/workstation deployment skills.
Experience with web servers and basic HTML/JS/SQL knowledge.

Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and maintain IT hardware including workstations, servers, switches, and printers.
Lead design and implementation of a configuration management solution.
Improve automation and deployment frequency; reduce manual interventions.
Support IT infrastructure reliability, security, monitoring, backup, and performance.
Lead improvements across the technology spectrum and mission systems.
Provide on-site and time-sensitive support in a mission-critical environment.
Create deployment baselines aligned with STIGs; update ICDs.
