Job summary

SafeTouch Security is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to lead complex infrastructure and security initiatives in a hands-on role at our Jacksonville, FL office. You will own administration across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows/Linux servers, networking, firewalls, cloud, and backup/DR, while guiding a team of Systems Administrators and IT Support Technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or cybersecurity operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows/Linux servers, networking, firewalls, backups, and endpoint management.
• Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint protection, MFA, conditional access, and incident response.
• Ability to own complex technical issues and projects from diagnosis through resolution.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical direction to other IT professionals.

Responsibilities

• Own complex administration, troubleshooting, and optimization across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows/Linux servers, networking, firewalls, cloud, and backup/DR.
• Design and maintain automated provisioning and access workflows across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and security platforms.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, best practices, configurations, and documentation for infrastructure and endpoint management.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, multi-site incidents, security concerns, and infrastructure failures.
• Lead technical remediation efforts involving vulnerabilities, endpoint protection, MFA, conditional access, email security, and other cybersecurity controls.
• Support incident response and work closely with the Director, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, on suspected or confirmed security incidents.
• Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and other technical implementations from planning through execution.
• Monitor and strengthen system performance, security, availability, backup/recovery, and overall infrastructure health.
• Mentor the Systems Administrator and IT Support Technicians, providing technical direction and helping build the team’s capabilities.
• Evaluate and improve troubleshooting processes, escalation paths, and technical documentation.
• Partner with business systems teams on shared technical issues, including application access and permissions.
• Work directly with MSPs, telecom providers, cloud partners, hardware/software vendors, and other technology partners to resolve complex issues and deliver projects.
