Job summary

CompTech Computer Technologies seeks an experienced System Administrator - Level III to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Fort Hood, TX on-site. The role requires a Secret clearance and focuses on enterprise systems operation, security, backup, and automation.

Responsibilities include server and network management, access control, disaster recovery, and creating thorough technical documentation. A Bachelor's degree and CASP+/CISSP-like certs are preferred along with strong scripting

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of progressive experience in systems administration or related IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience administering and maintaining enterprise servers and infrastructure.
• Experience with server management, network management, user account management, security administration, and backup/recovery.
• Experience writing and utilizing scripts to automate system administration tasks.
• Experience performing advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex infrastructure and system issues.
• Experience monitoring and optimizing system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation including SOPs, maintenance guides, and knowledge-base articles.
• Experience supporting system security, access controls, patching, configuration, and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise computer systems, servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Perform server management, network management, user account management, security management, and backup/recovery activities.
• Ensure users have secure, reliable, and appropriate access to systems and resources.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize server operating systems and infrastructure platforms.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and address potential issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex server, OS, network, app, access, and infra problems.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance guides, and knowledge-base articles.
